Trailer Hire - Secure parking area.

Trailer Hire - Secure parking area.

by Hans Ignals

We're planning a trip to CYP in August(?) 2016. We plan to see a bit of QLD on the way from Canberra. We're aiming to all meet in Cooktown and depart from there.

A couple are hoping to taker their caravan up to Cooktown, leaving it there in a secure area, and taking a trailer with all their stuff up to the Cape.

Can anyone recommend a place in Cooktown where the van can be left in a secure area, and where a trailer, suitable for the road to the Cape can be hired?.

PS: We do not plan to take the Gung Ho/OTT route (we don't want to get our cars all muddy).

Hi Hans,

You could leave your van at the Endeavour Falls Caravan Park however to hire a trailer to go up to the Cape you're better off looking in Cairns.
