Roko Island

Roko Island is a small island with a pearl farm.

East of the larger Possession Island where Captain James Cook claimed the eastern Australia for England, Roko is so small it would likely not be known at all if it wasn't for its pearl farm.

It is so close to the shore of the northernmost Cape York peninsula, if you have a big enough boat that would be the easiest way to visit it.

If you don't you will need to take a tour or charter (these change, and all the operators, prices and contact details are constantly updated in the
Destination Guide).

And it is a great island to visit - they also have overnight stays - and they nowadays have very popular fishing charters!
