My advice to your readers - do your homework

My advice to your readers - do your homework

by Nev k

We completed 8 weeks up at the cape arriving home mid August 2014.

Unfortunately I only discovered your newsletter a couple of issues before we left.

There is definitely a need for a site like this where people can tell of their own experiences.

The vast majority of drivers were courteous and friendly a lot of people do none or little research before a trip like this.

One group of Camper Trailer drivers thought there were overtaking lanes on the Old telegraph track and refused to get off the road for fear of scratching their cars. What a mob of tossers.

We came back via Bathurst Bay, Bathurst Heads to Cape Melville where the site of Australia greatest maritime disaster monument lies, to Hope Vale via the Wakooka Track, a magnificient drive but not one to be done alone.

My advice to your readers - do your homework before you go and allow sufficient time to complete you journey.

We spoke to people who travelled from Brisbane to the Tip and had a 10 day turnaround.

Why Leave at all - DON'T RUSH.

Hi Nev,
by: Katrin

Thank you so much for this advice!

I cannot agree more on how people who don't do their research are missing out on their trip.

Many are basically facing having to do it again once they learned the places and things they missed out, and it is NOT a cheap trip.

Invest some time and money into proper research, and once you are on the trip you'll realise how little that time and money was compared to what you were going to miss out.

It pays off very quick on your trip!

Get the FREE Pocket Guide to read about how much time you should take.

Thanks Nev!
