Lodging near Laura?

by Heidi Freestone

Your site is fascinating - I imagine the book is even better.

We were hoping to travel up from Cairns at the beginning of January to see the Rock Art site that UNESCO listed.

It seems it needs to be an overnight trip at least.

Unfortunately we have been unable to contact any lodging relatively close to Laura.

We can't find any contact info for the Lakeland Hotel Motel, which seemed the most likely, even tho there are some reviews out there (mixed).

Even the Visitor center/museum connected with the Rock Art sites seems to have gone radio silent.

Do you have any thoughts for us?

Thank you!
