Here is the latest on

And of course, the feedback on the Destination Guide :-)

• Coming Events
• Feedback Updated
• Feedback Always Welcome
=============================================
NATIONAL
PARKS AND CREB TRACK OPEN
Lakefield National Park
is open, except the temporary closure of some of the Twelve
Mile
camping area sites, just as in the last month's newsletter (see
the
details on
the booking page on their website). Cape
Melville National Park is open except Ninian Bay, which is
expected to open on 23. August 2022.

Oyala Thumotang's
Horsetailer's camping area (one of the remotest two) is closed until
further notice for management purposes.

CREB Track
is open again after the rains shut it last month.
OTHER
BITS AND PIECES
Pennefather
north of Weipa is open again, after the closure eariler this year :-)
The Traditional Owners ask that you stay on the dunes (and
not
drive on the beach).

Running Creek Beach
is open after almost ten years of closure! Permits are needed, details
have been updated in the Destination Guide.

And - Laura Roadhouse now has 24
hours fuel (self service with card only) -
handy to know if you are driving night time when
other fuel stations
are closed.
COMING
EVENTS
So the coming events
of this month are Mt Carbine Rodeo, Weipa Bullride and the NPA Rodeo
and Races.

Good to know if you are around and want to include some of these in
your trip :-)

Thank you everyone
- it is always heart-warming to receive your emails about the Guides -
a lot of work goes in there ❤

And last but not least - the Fathers
Day is fast approaching!
It is always a good idea to buy
the Destination Guide as a Present :-)

FEEDBACK ALWAYS WELCOME
I really appreciate any kind of feedback on the Destination Guide.
Please let me know if you enjoyed it while planning before the trip, and while using the information once on the
trip.
If you get any questions about anything, please feel welcome to contact me.
That's all for this time - happy planning, and happy travels to those on the road!!
Have a great day :-)
Katrin.
P.S. If you cannot see the photo banner in the top of this page, instead of photos you only see photo texts, and instead of links you see url addresses throughout the text, you are using email software that only reads text. Consider getting an email account with Yahoo or others that can read HTML (and remember to change your email address, which can be done in the end of every newsletter.
