FRESH
ROAD
REPORT
So here is the main road
from north to south a few days ago. The bit down to
Jardine river has been recently graded.

Bypass Roads
were ok, not horrible. There was water in many dips but not all.

South of Bramwell, the Telegraph
Road always had some good dips and this time of the year
it is usual that they have some water. Other than that, it was pretty
good, not much corrugation. The bitumen bits had some
potholes.

Archer to Coen
has also always been a bumpy one, and the unsealed parts had water in
dips.

Coen to Musgrave
was not very good, not fixed very well yet.

Musgrave to Laura
- still a little rough in the northern end, but got better closer to
Laura.

All in all the road is
not too corrugated yet, but that will change with more
traffic. There are roadworks going on, and a lot has been graded, but
not
all, and not all holes and washouts have been fixed yet.
COMING
EVENTS
It was already mentioned in the last newsletter that some of the best
events
in June are Weipa
Fishing Classic, Cooktown
Discovery Festival
and the NPA
Cultural Festival.

In addition to these, there will also be the Laura Races and Rodeo
- a very popular event on the Cape :-)

That's all for this time - happy planning, and happy travels to those on the road!!
