THE SEASON

The season has been really good with everything just about booked out for the most of 2021, but just lately affected by the southern lockdowns.

Sorry that some wrong-doers have made this needing a mention: These newsletters are subject to the Law of Copyright - the only way to legally spread them is a link to this page or a proper Facebook share (cropping text and photos out of it to use them to build one's own Facebook post is ILLEGAL).

Camping grounds have had many cancellations lately but have been able to cover the most because the people who got here before the lockdowns just want to stay a bit longer :-)

ROAD REPORT

Another trip for my partner down to Cairns this month, and below is what he said about the road.

pdr july 2021 pdr july 2021 south of musgrave

There is a lot more bitumen between Laura and Hann River. There used to be three dirt stretches, now only one is left and looking like it will get done soon.

pdr july 2021 telegraph road pdr july 2021 southern bypass

Corrugations, and lots of dips to look out for, some might be ok but some can be really damaging if going too fast.

pdr july 2021 northern bypass pdr july 2021 south of jardine

The worst with corrugations was south of the Jardine Ferry, but they are working on it now.

COMING EVENTS

So the coming events of this month are Mt Carbine Rodeo and Weipa Bullride.

Good for you to know if you are around and want to include some of these in your trip :-)

FEEDBACK UPDATED

This, first hand hard work gets some heartwarming feedback, so once a year I take time to update the feedback page.

By now it's grown so big that one page would take too long time to load, so I had to break it up to several pages.

There are now five feedback pages, all listed below:

Thank you so much to all who wrote, it never stops making my day, and it encourages me more and more to keep going with the honest, local first hand work - since 2009 :-)

FEEDBACK ALWAYS WELCOME

I really appreciate any kind of feedback on the Destination Guide.

Please let me know if you enjoyed it while planning before the trip, and while using the information once on the trip.

If you get any questions about anything, please feel welcome to contact me.

That's all for this time - happy planning, and happy travels to those on the road!!

Have a great day :-)

Katrin.

P.S. If you cannot see the photo banner in the top of this page, instead of photos you only see photo texts, and instead of links you see url addresses throughout the text, you are using email software that only reads text. Consider getting an email account with Yahoo or others that can read HTML (and remember to change your email address, which can be done in the end of every newsletter.
