CYCLONE GILLIAN REFORMS

In case you followed Cyclone Gillian since the last newsletter, you would have noticed that it missed Weipa and made a circle in the Gulf of Carpentaria instead, downgrading into a Tropical Low (I did not want to bother you with another newsletter about that, since you had the link where to follow it if you were wondering).

It has now completed the circle, and is back at about the same location where it first formed as a Tropical Low on March 8.

Late last night it turned into a tropical cyclone again, and is now predicted to go west towards Northern Territory (and then downgrade to a Tropical Low).

And as we saw with the Weipa prediction - a tropical cyclone path is not easy to predict - they can change whatever way they like.

This is where you can follow this cyclone (link deleted once BOM removed the page)

EVENTS UPDATED IN THE DESINTATION GUIDE

The event dates have been updated for 2014 in the Destination Guide.

Some events have also been added, some other minor updates have been made, but I will do the event prices with the rest of the prices in April.

If you have the guide, you can go back to your original purchase email and download it again if you like, or you can wait until the price changes are made and download it then (no need to wait if you want to buy the guide - all the updated versions will be included in the price).

Even before any updates, you can always have a pretty good idea about both event dates and all the prices in the guide:

Most of the events fall onto the same weekends from year to year, and most prices - no matter if it's accommodation, tours or events, you can be quite confident they go up a little bit each year.

Before I have made the updates, just expect all the prices to be a little bit higher.

The main thing is, you can still compare the price levels between different accommodation options and tours.

FEEDBACK ALWAYS WELCOME

I really appreciate any kind of feedback on the Destination Guide.

Please let me know if you enjoyed it while planning before the trip, and while using the information once on the trip.

If you get any questions about anything, please feel welcome to contact me.

That's all for this time - happy planning everyone :-)

Katrin

P. S. If you cannot see the photo banner in the top of this page, and instead of links you see url addresses throughout the text, you are using email software that only reads text. Consider getting an email account with Yahoo or others that can read HTML (and remember to change your email address, which can be done in the end of every newsletter.
