I hardly ever send so many newsletters, and won't ever without a good reason.
There will probably be one or two more on the subject, depending on its
impact on Cape York travellers.

ZANE STRONGER THAN PREDICTED
This morning, Cyclone
Zane had already formed and been named before I got up.
It is now category two, and predicted to
turn into a category three
cyclone before it's believed to cross the coast late tomorrow
north of Lockhart River.
It is strong enough to cause some
damage, and it could yet change its path so the whole coast
between Cape Tribulation and the tip of the peninsula is getting
What does this cyclone mean to you as a traveller?
If you are camping out there,
it's not camping weather!!!
Get out of there are find a shelter
which you have probably already been told to do.
The coast is the worst place to be, the further west you can get the

And count on a lot of rain right after.
If you are planning to

So if you are travelling in June, you
should be fine (from this cyclone anyway, there could be other
rains), however I will let you know
about the impact once we know exactly what it
(P.S. If you haven't yet, please read the climate and weather section
in the FREE
pocket guide for detailed information about our seasons and when is the best time
to travel to Cape York).
I really appreciate any kind of feedback
on the destination
me know if you enjoyed it while planning before the trip, and while using the
information once on the trip.
If you get any questions about
anything, please feel welcome to contact me.
That's all for this time - happy planning, and, till the next
newsletter if I don't hear from you.
Have a great day :-)
